Aims and Objectives of NAEM

The ultimate objective of NAEM is to ensure quality education at the post - primary levels through ensuring teacher development and quality management & administration at the secondary & tertiary education levels. The specific objectives of NAEM -
to provide professional and technical support to the education sector for improving institutional capacity in Educational Management and Administration.
to promote increased efficiency and effectiveness in the management and administration of the post-primary education sub-sectors.

Functions of NAEM

The functions of NAEM are to-

• Plan, develop, conduct and coordinate various training courses in Educational Administration & Management, Planning & Development, Educational Research for the Education Managers working at different levels and in different agencies.
• Organize workshops, seminars and meetings on problems and issues of educational development;
• Undertake studies and research on educational issues;
• Serve as documentation center for information on educational planning, administration and research;
• Assist the Government in formulation of education policies;
• Cooperate with institutions and agencies engaged in similar programmes both at national and international levels.

NAEM also conduct training courses like :-

1. Foundation Training Courses for incumbents of Education Cadre of Bangladesh Civil Service;
2. Educational Administration and Management Training courses for Heads of Secondary and College level intuitions;
3. Computer application courses for the teachers and officers;
4. Educational Administration courses for the officers in different offices under MoE;
5. Research Methodology Course;
6. Educational Planning course;
7. Communicative English course for the teachers and administrators working in secondary and college levels.
